Rebuilding Together

(Formerly:  Christmas In September)

Saturday, September 18, 2010

Rebuilding Together, a one-day home repair blitz assisting low income homeowners in our area, will be repairing about ten homes in Cedar Lake.  This project rotates between Crown Point, Lowell, Merrillville and Cedar Lake each year.

Volunteers of all skill levels are needed.  Volunteers from First United Methodist will work together on one project.  Some of the things done previously have been window replacements,  painting, wheel chair ramps and landscaping.  Rebuilding Together is the sponsoring organization and is an all-volunteer organization.  Church & Society Commission feels this is a worthwhile project in which our church can get involved.  Please sign up on the bulletin board in Memorial Hall if you can volunteer.  If you have questions call Tom & Judy Wisniewski at 662-1621 or Mike & Jill Wells, Church & Society Commission chairpersons, at 663-9823.

These events are open to the community.

Please invite a friend, spread the word.
